Along with the cost of a new kitchen, this is a question on the lips of almost everyone who walks into one of our showrooms.
And that’s no surprise. Deciding to renovate your kitchen is a big decision, and you want to know what makes one Melbourne kitchen company different to the next.
It’s always hard to talk about other businesses – what they do, and what they don’t do. We just know:
Below, we list some things that are really important to us. These are considerations for you as you decide which company is best for you.
We’re also keenly aware that most companies make similar claims – their superior customer service, for example.
So that’s why we ask that you don’t take our word for it. See what our many customers have to say, and you’ll find a relevant comment from a satisfied customer beside each listing below.
You can also access many more reviews at our testimonials page, as well as reputable independent sites like Google and Product Review that we have no control over. (That’s another great way to get a feel for the service you’ll get from a kitchen renovation specialist).
Absolutely thrilled with our new kitchen. Rosemount were fantastic to work with from start to finish. Incredible communication, service, and quality. Matt and his team went out of their way to ensure we were happy with all aspects of the kitchen. Would absolutely recommend to anyone and would use Rosemount again without a second thought.

Many people these days feel customer service isn’t what it once was, and we work really hard to make sure this perception doesn’t apply to the team at Rosemount.
Our founders have decades of experience between them. They’ve used that experience to constantly refine and improve a consultation, design and build methodology that repeatedly gets fantastic results for clients.
Above all, we don’t consider a job complete until our customers are 100% happy.
Here are some of the values that we instill into every project:
Our aim with providing this high quality product and service is that we will be friends at the start of the process, and still be friends 20 years down the track.
We undertook some major research before deciding to commit to Rosemount Kitchens. One of the main reasons for our choice was their use of world class Blum fittings and this was equally matched by the quality of their product, workmanship and the attention to detail they take with their design and installation.

Put simply, you can’t beat the quality we provide.
The materials we use are the best available. They generally come with 10-year guarantees and you can expect them to stand the test of time.
Quality like this might cost more to begin with, but you’ll save in the long-run because cheaper, imported materials are rarely built for Australian conditions and never last as long.
Think also about what’s most reliable, predictable and consistent.
Everyone has accidents in the home from time to time, or a warranty issue might arise. With these brands, particularly door material companies, you can be confident of still being able to access the same colours you chose when your kitchen was installed.
By contrast, many products that smaller or newer businesses bring onto the market can be discontinued in as little as six months and replaced with something new. That’s bad news for customers, because if you need to replace something, you are left with the problem of not being able to match to your existing material.
The initial on-site discussion and measure was about how we operated in the kitchen, how we entertained, family, how friends congregate around and in the kitchen (even if you don’t want them there!) and what were our biggest “hates”, and clutter and chaos issues. They discussed how to best use space and design to compliment the rest of the house yet make it all super functional. Back at the showroom, there were plenty of ideas, solutions and innovative concepts from pantry to cupboards. But if what you needed wasn’t there, it was designed and created for you.

Our designers are some of the most professional and experienced in the industry.
They ask lots of questions, listen to what’s important to you and get a clear understanding of your needs. They then provide expertise that ensures you get the dream kitchen that reflects you, your lifestyle and your home.
It’s important to remember that one designer might recommend more drawers to meet a client’s requirements, while another won’t because they know they can then provide a cheaper quote. We always advise what’s in the client’s best interests.
So when comparing quotes, always make sure you compare apples with apples.
Another key factor in the design process is visiting a kitchen showroom.
They give you the chance to touch, see and feel different kitchen materials and finishes, to ensure you are fully aware of what is available and to do your “due diligence” to check the quality of our workmanship.
Visiting a showroom is also a great way to decide if you like and trust the company.
We have three showrooms in Melbourne. There are nine full kitchen displays in Essendon and Nunawading, and four at our newest showroom in Oakleigh – where there will soon be seven on show.
The tradesmen involved: builders, tilers, plasterers, electricians, plumbers, cabinet-makers marched in and out of our house like well-drilled troops, and each one without exception did meticulous work. At times we wanted a few changes, to things like cupboard doors, and our wishes were promptly attended to. At the end we had visits from one of the company owners, who checked out the new kitchen, and made doubly sure that it met his own high standards. The final result is a kitchen which has exceeded our hopes, and which not only looks fantastic, but which is a great pleasure to be in.

Many people worry about the installation stage with tradesmen going in and out of their home.
It’s one reason why you should only deal with a reputable company like Rosemount Kitchens for a big project like a kitchen renovation.
We’ve worked together with most of our tradesmen for more than 15 years – we know each other really well and we all understand the high standards expected when working on a Rosemount project.
We love to hear feedback from customers who talk about how the tradespeople “really cared”, “treated our house like it was their own” and “was just a genuinely nice person”.
Everyone who works with us has the appropriate certificates and licenses for their trade, and every Rosemount renovation has a designated project manager who you can call at any time to discuss the project.
We had a great working relationship with the team, all of whom ensured their role was completed in a professional and timely manner. Communication played a huge part in the success of our project, especially when we had some concerns, which were addressed promptly and efficiently. When the install was complete we received follow up emails and phone calls checking that all was okay. It’s often the little things that make the biggest impression.

Our proven and documented process is designed with one main goal – to ensure you get the best result.
From the initial consultation when we first discuss a client’s wishlist to when you tell us you’re delighted with your completed new kitchen, we’re with you every step of the way.
You’ll always know what’s happening and what’s coming up.
We have a bigger “back end team” than other companies because making sure everything goes smoothly and keeping the client fully appraised at all times is as important to us as the quality of the work itself.

There are many components to a kitchen renovation, but the installation phase is where you want the best service.
There’s no other way to describe this time … for two or three weeks it can seem like you are camping out in your own home.
You can’t cook in the kitchen, so might have to rely on using the outside BBQ or getting takeaways. You can’t just go and get a glass of water from the kitchen.
It’s an inconvenience when everything goes perfectly, let alone when there are a few issues. Don’t let another company tell you otherwise.
So having a team of people committed to make this process as smooth as possible for you is incredibly important.
And that’s another area where Rosemount is set up and staffed to make sure everything goes as well as it can for you.
We have had one problem in the laundry after two years, and Rosemount was very quick to rectify. There was no hesitation about fixing the problem and they did it beautifully. This is a very honest company which aims for perfection and believes in making the customer happy.

Great customer service doesn’t mean that no issues arise. Seen or unforeseen issues can come up, and at this point the attitude and response of the kitchen company is critical.
With some companies you feel you have to have an argument to get something fixed or done right. But that’s not the case at Rosemount.
No-one can promise a renovation will go without a hitch, but we can say that we will work with you every step of the way to ensure you get exactly what you want … and hopefully more.
How do we respond when issues crop up? We always do our best to fix and make it right, and I’d encourage you to go through our reviews on Product Review and Google where you’ll find stories that are testament to that.
If you like what you see, then don’t hesitate to call us on 1300 476 736 if you’ve got any questions.
Even better, come into one of our showrooms and get inspired for your renovation.
